Display the Brazil flag indoors or outdoors and celebrate your connection to one of South America’s most recognisable countries. Made from durable 115 g/m² polyester, the flag is suitable for homes, gardens, balconies, national celebrations, Brazilian cultural events, sports gatherings and flag collections.
Brazil Flag Design and National Symbols
The Brazil flag features a green rectangular field with a large yellow diamond in the centre. Inside the diamond is a blue celestial globe containing 27 white stars and a curved white band with the national motto Ordem e Progresso.
The republican flag was adopted on 19 November 1889. The present version with 27 stars was introduced on 11 May 1992.
Meaning of the Stars and Motto
- The 27 stars represent Brazil’s 26 states and the Federal District
- The arrangement is based on the night sky associated with Rio de Janeiro on 15 November 1889
- The Southern Cross is among the constellations shown on the blue globe
- Ordem e Progresso means Order and Progress
The green and yellow elements were retained from Brazil’s earlier imperial flag. Today, these colours are also widely associated with the country’s forests, natural resources and national identity.
Durable Construction and Easy Installation
The flag is made from durable polyester fabric with a weight of 115 g/m². Reinforced edges and double stitched seams provide additional strength. Two rust resistant brass grommets allow quick and convenient installation without requiring special tools.
