The red eagle and Brandenburg’s flag tradition

The red eagle links Brandenburg’s modern identity with the historic Margraviate of Brandenburg. After the state was re-established in 1990, its traditional red and white colours returned. The current flag, combining these colours with the eagle coat of arms, was adopted on 30 January 1991.

Does this flag represent the state or the city of Brandenburg?

This design represents the German state of Brandenburg. It is not the municipal flag of Brandenburg an der Havel.

What design appears on this flag?

The flag has a red upper half and a white lower half. A white shield bearing the red eagle is positioned in the centre.

Can I use the flag outdoors?

Yes. The polyester fabric has UV protection and a water-resistant finish. Bring the flag indoors during strong winds or severe weather, and prevent it from rubbing against branches, walls or other surfaces.

Is the eagle visible on the reverse?

Yes. The flag is printed on one side, with approximately 90% visibility through the reverse. The eagle and the rest of the design appear mirrored on that side.

How do I attach and wash the flag?

Use the two brass grommets with suitable clips or ties. Wash at 30°C and allow the flag to dry completely before storing it.

We offer several payment methods, very easily and conveniently you can pay through Stripe and PayPal using your credit card or account.

The connection is well encrypted through the external payment providers Stripe and PayPal which guarantees security and convenience.

The information on the credit card (number of the card, expiry date etc.) are forwarded automatically via a coded security system to the Paymaster without „Teesntowels“ ltd or any third party having any kind of access to this data. Even in the event of a possible refund, the complete credit card details cannot become known. This is why a refund is only possible on the card with which the purchase was originally made.
